Bait & Bluey

Bait & Bluey

This weeks episode begins with what we universally agreed was our worst ever Top 5 - the best jokes told in movies. Seems like it would be easy wouldn't it? Well if you like to hear poorly told puns and ghastly gags then this is definitely the pod for you.

Our main feature was Mark Jenkin's 2019 movie Bait. Filmed entirely in monochrome using a clockwork camera, this drama about a fisherman struggling to make a living amidst the destruction of the local culture by gentrification is unlike anything you have ever seen before. Watch this stunning movie and then hear us talk about it, with the added bonus that  we will be releasing an additional episode this week where we interview the director himself.

We finish up this weeks show with a review of a kids tv programme requested by longtime listener, Mel. Bluey is an Australian animated series about the adventures of a 6 year old Blue Heeler puppy (no we didn't know what that was either) and the rest of her canine family.

We love to hear from our listeners so if you want to get in touch with us to suggest something for us to review or just to chat with the dads, you can usually find us annoying people on twitter (@dads_film) or on facebook. You can also contact us via email at baddadsjsy@gmail.com.

Until next time, we remain...
